Hello my name is

Hello. My name is Hayley.

I’m a daydreamer…
I’m almost 23, and navigating through what it means to be an “adult”. I love whimsical things, and I have a lot of goals and ambitions. Probably most prevalent being to write and direct films that inspire people to love their lives. And most importantly, I want to be a mother. And I want to meet someone who I love and who won’t get sick of me very often, and maybe we can see the world together, and maybe we can help as many people as we can and still manage to make a little time to go on adventures… just us.

I was born in Georgia, and when I was little I lived in Texas, California, Rhode Island and Tampa, FL. Then we moved to Rome, Italy for a short time and then off to Mons, Belgium which became my childhood home. I went to school for a semester in D.C., then transferred to the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. My BA is in Film and Media, and I “minored” in Arabic and Social Entrepreneurship. I found out about the fantastic screenwriting MFA program at Florida State University, and drove across the country to get here, even before I applied. We’ll see if I find a way to get in and make it work!

I’m very passionate about African politics, and I think it’s one of my purposes in life to start an organization there that builds infrastructure and provides opportunities for education. Who knows where on the continent this will happen, but I’m convinced it will.

Why do I write this blog? I guess… I guess I want to share with anyone who cares enough to read this, what little and few things I’m figuring out about life… It’s not a lot, but maybe together, we’ll figure out much more than we could by ourselves.
