Wardrobe Image Files…

Re-imagining of the costumes w/ Director. This is what we came up with:

Noro:
-Mandarin inspired colors
-”Prarie” textiles (small floral on earth tones… not overtly feminine but close ups reveal more femininity)
-”Tunics” Close fitting, high necked blouses that are fitted, but cover her up… her clothes are her protection… they what keep her from being vulnerable. She isn’t going to show much skin.
-Messing w/ different fabrics for pants. Think a woman trying to dress in frontier clothing…
-Camio detail is good, but not on a choker… Could you add a detail to a pocket watch??? Masculine peice w/ a feminine and elegant twist.
-Lace gloves, or gloves w/ piping.

Prarie style Tunic... High neck... Buttons.

High neck and lace detail... buttons. Western but feminine.

TAGGART :
- Black button-up w/ intricate detail
- Black vest
- Armband
- Different hat… not ten gallon or typical “cowboy” but wide brimmed…
-Classy “rich” western detail around his neck
-Pocketwatch

Look for hats like this... Not typical "cowboy" but old world law man.

Check out the next peice... not quite a tie, not an ascott... it's something in between....

SARATH:
The inverse of Taggart’s look. Whereas Taggart is sleek and classy and stoic, Sarath is a “bad guy” with eccentricities. A loose cannon whose fashion influences give a nod to his wild times in the southwest.

-Browns, khakis and leathers
-Latte colored suede or leather jacket
-”amish” no colllard, front panal button shirt
-White or light colored shirt w/ subtle intricate detail (once again inverse to Taggart)
-Play w/ the idea of an aged/ eccentric look to his jacket… a “tattoo” on the leather… some sort of rose design, like the detailing on a typical mariachi outfit… or bullfighter embellishments
- hints of brightly colored wool weaves evocative of the southwest (very subtle hints of it)

Look at the hat... definately a cowboy hat, but obviously influenced by the sombraro

Check out all this guys layers but esp. the cumberbun "shash" red thing that he's wearing... Get a south west wool weave to make a detail like that... Fade and yellow the colors in it w/ dust and tea so they aren't distracting and they blend

Southwest painted leather look... adds an old west feel to the leather... Obviously, you'd pick a different design and you'd paint it on, then do a great deal to fade it, crack it, until it looked well worn and old

Look at the studs going down their pants... if you found a smaller, more subtle way to do this with interesting studs/buttons that were brass or copper... that would be a really cool and easy to do detail

he wears something like this on his person that has been soaked in tea or cofee to fade the colors...

GRUFFS/ MISC. Pieces that could apply to all “posse” characters:

High neck, short collar, thick "bulky" fabrics that don't quite lay flight... the fabrics are first durable then fashionable

His shirt... subtle plaid detailing. His pants, that WWI trouser that was tucked into boots... almost looks like a burlap or wool, ballooned out at the hips a little.... once again, thicker fabrics

Old world thermal that was never quite clean... think tea stains around the neck and under the arms... buttons in the front center... check out the thin suspenders... obviously, not elastic... were buttoned to the pants.

the shirt on the guy all the way on the left... no collar, front panel with small buttons that go all the way down...

LINNEAUS Jacket on the kid to the right .... the waste is higher, it's more fitted that kids suits today, buttons are higher.... bulky, durable, fabric

LINNEAUS

Knickers like the kid ont he right

LINNEAUS little boys jacket

LINNEAUS no socks, shoes like this... rich meditarrian beach kid
